Group Assembly Permit Application

Procedure:
 
1.   Fill out the application and attach requested documentation. 
2.   Submit application to City Clerk at least two weeks prior to the event.
3.   Application will be reviewed by the Chief of Police and City Clerk.
4.   If approved, the applicant will be mailed a Group Assembly Permit.  Please keep this permit with you during the event!
      If denied, a letter will be mailed to the applicant notifying him/her of the denial.
 
 

Note the following:

To allow proper time to process the application, the application must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event!
 
If you or the organization you are representing are not the property owner you must attach a letter signed by the property owner stating you have permission to assemble on said property.
 
If the proposed event is being conducted for, on behalf of, or by an organization or individual other than the applicant you must attach written communication from the organization authorizing the applicant to apply for the permit.

Please note that any use of State Highways requires permission from Georgia Department of Transportation and you must include a copy of DOT approval before a parade permit will be awarded from the City of Jackson.

All horses participating must be bagged so that animal waste does not drop on City streets. Attendants must be provided at applicant’s expense to clean up any animal waste on public property as a result of participation in this event.
 
Candy, literature, confetti and other items are not permitted to be thrown into the streets or crowd.
