Police

Mike Riley is Jackson's Chief of Police.  He is responsible for the overall operation of the City's law enforcement agency consisting of the city jail, sworn police officers, and dispatchers.  He has been in active law enforcement 29 years.  He began his career in 1979 as a deputy for Butts County Sheriff Deparment.  On March 1, 1993 he began his tenure as Chief of Police for the City of Jackson.  Chief Riley is very active in the community and enjoys a longstanding relationship with the Butts County School System through the departments "Partners in Education" program.
