Clean City Task Force

Fall City Clean Up Day & Trash Amnesty Week

Clean Up Day is a day where volunteers meet at City Hall to pick up supplies and receive street assignments to help make the City more beautiful. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed.  Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.  Please email Nikki at or call her at 770-550-3065 with any questions.
Trash Amensty Week allows for various items to be pick up by the City of Jackson.  Please leave all items off of streets in right of way.

Items include:
  • Separate household garbage (please put in rolling trash can)
  • Bulk Waste (example heavy items such as furniture)
  • Inert debris (tree limbs & leaves)
  • Tires

The City of Jackson Adopt-A-Street program is similar in concept to the Adopt-A-Highway program operated by many states, counties, and organizations across the U.S.  It enables interested businesses, groups, schools, organizations, or individuals to adopt a section of one of many City of Jackson streets.  In return for conducting scheduled clean-ups of that stretch of street a minimum of once/month, the sponsors are recognized with signage located at the beginning of their designated street section.  An Adopt-A-Street application must be completed and submitted to Nikki at or call her at 770-550-3065.
